School Sisters Grateful
for Food Drive Donations

The School Sisters of St. Francis extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the Mt. Assisi Place family members and employees who helped to make their 2024 Spring Food Drive such a success. Thanks to you, more than 20 jam-packed boxes of food and toiletries and a check for $1,000 were delivered to Light of Life Rescue Mission’s Food Pantry on the North Side on May 30.

The sizeable delivery included 500 pounds of pantry staples like canned goods, cereals and boxed dinners, as well as adult diapers, feminine products, and cooking needs. All will go a long way toward the helping the many families in need that the food pantry serves each week.

“Making a difference is all about people,” says Sister Marian Sgriccia, provincial minister. “The people we serve and the people who walk alongside us in our mission to serve.”
