Our antiquated telephones have been replaced by a new digital communications system.

MAP Moves to New Digital Telephone System

Mt. Assisi Place is “ringing in” the new year with a new phone system. On December 30, we transitioned to a new digital phone system to upgrade and streamline the communications process here. The new system allows for direct connection and transfer of calls to the nurse’s stations 24 hours per day. Among the other highlights:

  • When our receptionist answers your call, she can directly transfer you to the nurse's stations, nursing office, administrator, etc. She no longer has to page the nurse’s stations or other call destinations to alert them to your call.

  • After the third ring, the phone is answered by an automated attendant, who provides a short directory for connecting your call.

  • If the nurse is busy when you attempt to reach the nurse’s station, you now can leave a voicemail message.

  • Our phone number is still 412-761-1999. That has not changed.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we transition to the new system. While we may experience minor glitches early on, this system will greatly improve our connectivity moving forward.
