A Happy Haunting

Shame on you if you missed the fun at Mt. Assisi Place’s 2023 Halloween celebration during lunch on October 31. Silly and spooky collided in colorful collection of smiling faces, most topped off with fun hats and headbands. Volunteer Sue Chandler was nearly unrecognizable as the Wicked Witch of the Hilltop, offering ghoulish greetings to and eliciting giggles from everyone as they entered the dining room. Other employees also wore fun costumes and colorful scrubs to capture the “spirit” of the day. There was even some “monster-mashing” when the usual suspects — including Alice Armany and Dana Funk — hit the dancefloor, as returning favorite Hey Joe spun the spooky sounds of the season.
